for Atomic Physics and Astrophysics

Understanding the atomic processes leading to the emission of radiation we detect in a multitude of wavelength ranges, in Earth and Space-based observatories, emitted in various astrophysical contexts, is of key importance for extending our knowledge on the Universe.

The Center for Atomic Physics and Astrophysics was created as a framework for scientific research and teaching excellence in these areas, which are both traditional and very active at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Bucharest.
